So, I know I'm (once again!) a bit behind, and I promise more will come soon. I've been having quite a few complications with my computer, so if anyone would like to, I will gladly accept a new Mac Book Air as a donation! Until then, just wanted to let the universe know that I'm currently collaborating with my friends, Kids In Toyland at http://www.kidsintoyland.blogspot.com. First entry went up today where I covered the Damir Doma collection on Saturday.
So as I mentioned in the last post, Flo & I bought these disposables that were already expired which meant the film would probably have some sort of defect. I also had an old disposable that had been sitting on my desk waiting to be dropped off... and well, I finally got around to it! I totally love the quality and the color distortion that resulted.
My grandmother was kind enough to get me a ticket out to California to visit my somewhat newly relocated friends and enjoy some sunshine and relaxation. Shay & Molly held me up in LA, and Sadaf in SF... it was a blast! I was so surprised by how much fun I had and all the familiar faces I saw. Alsooo I stopped by Texas on my way back and even stayed a couple extra days to hang with my bro. Wonderful two weeks!

I shot for this film in December for a couple days, and you see the back of my head (GASP- ha!) in the opening of the trailer... I shouldn't be in it much more than that, but I think it looks like a wonderful story about the woman who gave women an entirely new perspective on fashion, style, and simplicity. Audrey Tautou is a perfect choice as the star, exuding a rebellious spirit while maintaining Coco's determination and class. The film debuted in France almost two months ago, and hopefully it will be making its way to the States soon.
I first read about Death while working at Balenciaga, and I had meant to go home and download all their stuff immediately. Instead my tired ass forgot, but thank god my friend reminded me yesterday. Check out the NY Times article ("Death Was Punk Before Punk Was Punk"), and then go download their album from I-tunes!
